Pointe Foot Exercise facing barre

1st position facing barre
1    Lift R heel and press over ball of R foot
2    Lift metatarsal to press gently over pointe
3-4  Demi plié
5    Begin to brush foot along floor into tendu side, but only to the metatarsal
6    Complete the tendu by fully stretching the foot to tendu side
7-8  Demi plié
1-8  Repeat all with left foot/leg
1    Tendu R front
2    Press over the pointe with some weight
3    Straighten to point tendu front
4    Flex R foot
5    Point back tendu front
6    Lower just the metatarsal of R foot, keeping heel lifted
7    Release to point degage front
8    Close 1st position
1-8  Repeat last 8 counts with L foot/leg
1-16 Repeat to the side with R and L

Rond de Jambe en l’air and Frappé

5th position, preparation sur le cou de pied
1-7  Single frappe en croix each position getting 2 counts (front out 1, in 2, side out 3, in 4, etc)
8  Close 5th position front
1  Brush side 45°
2-3 Single rond de jambe en l’air en dehors twice at 45°
4  Close back 5th
5   Brush side 45°
6-7 Single rond de jambe en l’air en dedans twice at 45°
8  Close front 5th
1-8  Cloche in attitude f-b-f-b-f-b-f (can go progressively higher) close 5th front in plié
1-2  Relevé passé
3  Developpé à la seconde
4  Lower supporting heel
5  Rond de jambe en l’air 90° en dehors
6  Double rond de jambe en l’air 90° en dehors
7  Close to sous-sus front
8  Turn toward barre to second side
1-32 Repeat all on second side

After second side, can close sous-sus back and turn away from the barre to first side
Repeat all from the back and using en dedans

Degagé 2/4

Begin 5th position R foot front
1 Fondu on supporting leg with R at cou de pied front
2 Extend R 45° front and straighten supporting leg
3 Piqué front
4 Cloche R foot to back
5 Close 5th back
6 Degagé inside leg front
7 Piqué front
8 Close 5th front (so R foot is back)
&1 Degagé side close front
2 Hold
&3 Degagé side close back
4 Hold
5-8 En cloche b-f-b close 5th back
1-16 Repeat all from back
1-8 Circular port de bras en dedans
1-8 Circular port de bras en dehors
Rise to sous-sus and balance with arms 5th en haut

Rond de Jambe en L’air

5th    position R foot front
1      Brush leg to 45° à la seconde
2      Single rond de jambe en l’air en dehors
3      Double rond de jambe en l’air en dehors
4      Close 5th position back
5-8   Reverse en dedans
1-4   Cloche in attitude f,b,f,b at 45°
5-7   Continue cloche in attitude but lift leg higher f,b,f
8      Close 5th position front
1-16 Repeat all 90° en dehors and en dedans
*May repeat combination using cloche with straight leg

Frappé

5th  position R foot front
1-2   Ballonné to the front 2X accent in (degagé height)
3-4   2 frappé to the front accent out
5&6 3 frappé to the front
7&   2 ballonné front accent in
8      Close into 5th position R foot front
1-8   Repeat to the side (first ballonné closing front)
1-8   Repeat to the back
1-2   Ballonné to the side coming in to cou de pied front, then back
3      Turn 1/4 into the barre and fondu on supporting leg
4      Relevé and lift working leg to attitude derrière with arm fifth en haut
5-8   Balance in attitude
1-8   Fondu on supporting leg and allongée to 1st arabesque

Degage 2/4

Begin in 5th position at the barre
&1    Degage front and close 5th
2       Hold count 2
34     2 degage front accent into 5th front
&5     Degage front and close 5th
6        Hold count 6
&7     Degage front, cloche to back
8        Close 5th back
1-8     Repeat all from back
&1     Degage side close back
2        Hold count 2
34      2 degage side closing front and back
&5      Degage side close front
6        Hold count 7
&8      2 degage side closing back and front
1-4     Degage en croix fsbs finish in 5th front
5-7     Degage f, s, b
8        Hold count 8 in 5th back
